Passage: Romans 4:16-25
Service Type:

Life brings both good and bad days, raising the vital question: What sustains and nourishes your soul? In this study of Romans 4:16-25, we examine the powerful example of Abraham—referred to as "the father of the faithful" and the "friend of God".

Discover how to build an unwavering faith by exploring three key areas:

  • The Object of Our Faith (v. 17): Trusting in God, who "gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist".

  • The Obstacles of Faith (vv. 18-20): Confronting biological and human impossibilities not by ignoring the facts, but by evaluating life's challenges in light of God's power and promises.

  • The Objective of Faith (vv. 20b-22): Glorifying God and receiving righteousness through complete assurance that He is able to perform what He has promised.

Concluding with Romans 4:23–25, this lesson highlights how Abraham's righteousness was recorded not just for his sake, but for ours—pointing us to faith in the God who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead for our justification.
