Jeff Keele

Jeff Keele was born in Dickson, TN on October 31, 1961 to Charles and Miriam Keele. Jeff is a graduate from Lipscomb University where he majored in Bible and minored in Engineering Science. He received his M.A.R. from Lipscomb in 1993.

Jeff began preaching when he was sixteen years old at Spring Creek church of Christ in Hickman County, TN. After graduating from Lipscomb, Jeff began working full time in 1985 as Youth Minister for the Walnut Street church of Christ in Dickson, TN. In January 1987 he was asked to come preach for the Tatum church of Christ which later became the New Spring Creek church of Christ where he remained until March 2002. On March 31st of that year Jeff began his work with this congregation. Jeff has helped with mission work in the coal mining regions of Eastern Kentucky and West Virginia, in Bay St. Louis, Ms and Statenville, GA, as well as Georgetown, Guyana and El Salvador.

Jeff was married to his wife, the former Rebecca Williams, on August 9, 1986 and they adopted three children, Donnie, Juanita, and Brandon in 1992. At present they have three grandsons, Isaiah Avram and Gabriel.

Jeff and Becky believe they have found a home with the church here in Waverly and look forward, with God’s blessing, to many years of service in this community.


Minister
Kyle Mashburn

Kyle Mashburn was born on January 2, 1983, in Haleyville, AL. His father was Lusion Mashburn (deceased) and his mother is Helen Mashburn. Kyle worshiped at the Ninth Avenue church of Christ while growing up in Haleyville. He attended the Haleyville school system graduating in 2002. In January of 2003 Kyle started school at Heritage Christian University (Florence, AL). An Associate of Arts degree in Bible was obtained in 2005 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible with a double minor (Youth Ministry and Counseling) was received in 2007.

Kyle got his start in ministry on Mother’s Day 2003 with the Leighton congregation in Leighton, AL. After four years of youth work he became the pulpit minister for the same congregation. Kyle served Leighton church of Christ for nine years before coming to work with us on June 17, 2012.

Kyle enjoys spending time with family, using technology in ministry, being outdoors, playing and watching sports (Roll Tide!), helping others, and working with young people!

Kyle married his high school sweetheart and beautiful wife, Kayla, on July 16, 2002. They have three exciting children Bethani, Tristan, and Joshua. The Mashburn family is excited to be here and look forward to many years of serving the Lord and His church.

Youth Minister
Evan Glenn

As a Broadcast Minister, Evan Glenn, works with the local radio station to provide a live feed of the worship services on Sunday morning and Sunday evening as well as a recorded devotional message that is heard Monday through Friday. He also provides a recorded video of the Sunday morning worship to be replayed later that day on the local public access channel. He has been helping in some way with this ministry since he was 16 years old.

In addition, Evan provides technical support for our power point and sound systems. He also provides this support for special events that occur at the building such as youth rallies, funerals, and weddings.

Evan was born October 15, 1979 of Les and Susan Glenn. He was raised in the Church here at Waverly. He is very grateful to have had such a good Christian family and to be a part of the congregation here. He has helped with the youth program on many occasions and also with Congregational Care groups and other service groups.

Evan was married to his wife, the former Lisa Naron, on June 25, 2011. And together they love the congregation here and hope for many more loving years of being a part of God’s Family here at Waverly.

Susan Glenn

Susan Glenn has been a member of the church for many, many years raising 3 sons, Andy, Evan, and Jared in the church. Mrs. Glenn is also married to one of our late,dear elders, Les Glenn.
