Faith plays a vital and foundational role in our lives, a truth perfectly captured by the writer of the letter to the Hebrew Christians, who noted that "without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him" (Hebrews 11:6). To walk in this kind of faith, we must believe deeply in the all-powerful, holy God of Scripture, trusting that He is more than able to provide for His own. Furthermore, James beautifully expands on this principle by reminding us that when we find ourselves facing difficult trials, we can boldly ask God for the wisdom we need; if we ask while truly believing and trusting in His character, He will faithfully give it to us.
