There are certain qualities that we ought to possess if we are going to be effective in helping others learn and obey the Gospel. Be a faithful Christian. Have a good heart. Be humble. Be careful. Be a person of prayer. Stay focused on your role.  To borrow from Peter’s words in 2 Peter 1:8, “If these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in” helping someone learn and obey the gospel.
