Waverly Church of Christ

Most, if not all of us, enjoy a good story. We enjoy a story with a good plot which keeps us engaged. In our minds we tend to cheer for the hero or heroine as they fight for a good cause. We find ourselves exhilarated when good triumphs over evil. As we worship here this morning, you and I are part of such a story. How is this possible? The work of the Holy Spirit is ongoing as the Word of God continues to be taught and preached — this story continues to be written by every Christian and the body of Christ which continues to assemble around the world today. But for this story to continue and for this congregation here today to have a positive part in that story, we must have the same tri-directional focus as we find in the Book of Acts.
