As you begin a new year here today, I want to encourage each of you who are Christians to live holy lives which honor God. God has loved you, He has desired to save you, and He has given the very best of heaven to make that possible. We should all be afraid of any failure on our part to respond to His effort. We should fear lest we fail to be holy, to be different, to live as those who are in a special relationship with God. If you are not a Christian, please know that God’s gift of His Son to save you is the only way you will know a true life with eternal purpose and direction. Any other life is ultimately meaningless — it is “dust in the wind”.
