Jesus reproved His disciples for "little faith." The Sermon on the Mount in general is needed by all because of worrying about daily needs. Fearfulness during a storm on Galilee was rebuked. Most often Jesus was having to reprove His followers for "little faith," yet Jesus complimented a Roman Centurion, "I have not found such a great faith, even in Israel!" (Luke 7:9) Salvation begins with faith. (Galatians 3:26-27)
