What Defines You As A Christian?
This morning, I would like for us to look at two of Jesus disciples who struggled with humility and hear what Jesus said to them and to us as well.
The request they were about to make of Jesus is one based upon a statement which Jesus had made to them only a few days earlier. In their request they sought three things; Preeminence, Proximity, and Power.
Jesus does not rebuke them, He simply says, “you do not know what you are asking for.” What He does say in effect is, you are asking for something without understanding what is involved.
His goal is to mold us and shape our lives so that we are prepared to be with Him eternally.
I believe that if we take His message to them to heart, we will find ourselves becoming the people God wants us to be.
