The Enduring Word of God
Our faith is based upon it. It reveals to us the mind of God. there is nothing else like it in all the world. The central theme which unites the verses in 1 Peter 1:22-2:3.
In these verses, Peter addresses the relationship of the Word of God to the mutal love of Christians toward one another. You cannot read these verses without realizing the importance which Peter placed on the revealed Word of God. It is the Word of God which the Spirit of God utilizes to bring about the new birth. It is the "Milk of the Word" which produces spiritual growth.
