Shall Not the Judge of All the Earth Do Right?
In Genesis 18, Moses records a visit made to Abraham by three men. As more of the details are revealed, it becomes evident that two of the men are angels while the third may be the Son of God in human form. Abraham has entertained these men, inviting them to stop in his tent while a meal is prepared for them. As they prepare to leave, the Lord said, possibly to the other two, "shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do?"
In this one question, Abraham presents us with two truths concerning God: First, He is the Judge of all the earth. Second, He does what is right.
As we examine the word "judgment" let us examine the various aspects of that word as it pertains to God and ourselves.
