Never Too Old To Fail
Do any of us ever reach the point in life where we are old enough or wise enough to avoid failure? No. It is very likely that the older some of you become the more this thought concerns you.
None of us want to fail in our twilight years. It scares us to think about it. And yet Moses failed, in the last year of his life:
a.) A man who faithfully led God’s people from Egyptian bondage all the way to the very entrance of the Promised Land.
b.) A man credited by God with being more humble (meek) “than any man who was on the face of the earth” (Numbers 12:3).
c.) A man with whom God spoke face to face (Exodus 33:11), “just as a man speaks to his friend.”
One of the truths of Scripture is that God tells us virtually everything about these Old Testament note worthies — the good and the bad.
