Learning to Live in Harmony
If you live long enough on this planet it is certain that you will experience
conflict with another human being.
We experience it as . . .
a. Children on the play ground.
b. Siblings at home.
c. Teammates on the same team.
d. Coworkers
e. Husband and wife
f. Brothers and sisters in Christ
Oftentimes as Christians, however, we tend to think idealistically.
Since we’re all Christians who are living by the Bible and obeying the command to love one another, there won’t be any conflicts among us.
All of us as Christians will, at some time or another, experience conflict between ourselves and a brother or sister in Christ.
It is important that we listen to the apostle Paul and seek to resolve that conflict.
If we do not,
a. We will isolate ourselves from others with whom we are to work in the cause of Christ.
b. We may find ourselves traveling from congregation to congregation because of continuing conflict everywhere we go.
c. We will not experience the peace of God which He intends for us.
d. We will ultimately hinder the message of the gospel.
