Is life worth living? This is the question which Solomon has been asking throughout the book of Ecclesiastes. Initially, after investigating “life under the sun,” as he calls it, Solomon concluded “No, life is not worth living!” But then Solomon went back and revisited his arguments, this time, with God at the center of life, he found that . . .
Life is not monotonous, but filled by God with challenging situations, each with its own time and purpose (Ecclesiastes 3:1). In these last two chapters (11-12) as Solomon draws his experiment to a close, he looks at how we should live, in light of all that he has said.
