Finishing the Race Set Before Us
Have you ever started something which you didn’t finish? An assignment at school or work. A project around the house. A puzzle, song or painting. This year 2,871 athletes competed in the Winter Olympics held in Milano, Italy. Of those, six athletes failed to finish their event due to injuries. Approximately 100 failed to finish their event for other reasons. Several were disqualified. There is a race in which the majority of us here this morning are entered. It is a race of eternal significance, one which requires endurance on our part. If you aren’t in this race, my advice to you is that you enter before it is too late. If you are running this race, I encourage you not to quit.
