All of us have storms in our lives. None of us wish these storms upon ourselves, but the truth is, we learn lessons through the storms which we might never learn if life were always calm. Our faith as Christians is not just to get to Heaven when we die, but to teach us how to live in the present. In the book of Luke, chapter 8 verses 22-25, we see the disciples encounter with a real, massive storm on the Sea of Galilee.

This fear was real, but it was through the events which took place on that evening so many years ago that they learned something they might not have otherwise learned.
