Fighting A War We Must Win
Shortly before the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, He had told His disciples in response to a question they had asked concerning the sign of His coming and the end of the age (Matthew 24:3) that they would hear of “wars and rumors of wars” (Matthew 24:6). He said that nation would rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom (Matthew 24:7).
There is one war or struggle, if you prefer to call it that, in which all of us are involved.
It is as real as any of these other wars which I have mentioned even though we cannot see our enemy. It is a spiritual battle with evil in which there is no truce, no quarter is given. If we seek to obtain our heavenly reward, it is a contest in which we must be victorious.
