Esther: God’s Providence At Work
When a person reads through the book of Esther, something is readily apparent — as a matter of fact it boldly stands out to the student of Scripture.
The word “king” is found over 100 times in the book and the name of the king is there nearly 30 times. However, not once will you find God’s name mentioned throughout the entire book. And yet, it is as one individual declared, “no one reads this book without being conscious of God” (G. Campbell Morgan).
That is especially interesting since one of the major themes of the book is the providence of God.
