Bear With One Another
Wouldn’t it be great if we who are Christians were all perfect?
Wouldn’t it be easier to maintain Christian unity if none of us had any quirks or imperfections or idiosyncrasies?
The truth is, all of us are different in our own way, and perhaps in the eyes of another Christian we are a little quirky or imperfect at times. We wonder why everyone else doesn’t see things the same way that we do.
All of us who are married know that when you put two people together from different backgrounds, different personalities and different genders, sooner or later you are going to have a misunderstanding and conflict.
Add children to the mix and the potential for these things only increases.
Imagine putting together more than 200 people as we have here this morning!
As with our marriages and our families, the only way for us to maintain unity is to practice forbearance or “bearing with one another.”
