Andrew: The Apostle Who Brought Others to Jesus
All of us who have raised children know that no two siblings are the same.
a. One may like the crowds, while the other prefers to be alone.
b. One may be loud and boisterous, the other is quiet and shy.
c. One seeks to please, the other works to get out of responsibility.
d. One is easy to parent, the other frustrates to no end.
In the list of the twelve which Jesus chose to follow Him, there are two brothers who are different. One of those brothers we have already considered in our studies. Tonight, I would like for you to look at the other one. His name — Andrew — the brother of Simon Peter.
As we spend our time together learning about this faithful disciple of our Lord, let us see the characteristics about him which made him such a valuable asset among the twelve. Once we have done that, I hope to share with you three important lessons that each of us can take with us and benefit from in our own lives as Christians.
