Since the beginning of Creation, men and women who sought to obey God have found themselves confronted with decisions which challenged their faithfulness to their convictions.

Joseph when enticed by Potipher’s wife to commit adultery with her, refused.

a. His decision resulted in his spending a number of years in an Egyptian prison.

b. This was because he was unwilling to compromise his faithfulness to the Lord.

Aaron and the Israelites had been encamped at the base of Mt. Sinai awaiting the return of Moses who had been up on the mountain for almost 40 days and nights meeting with Lord.

The people, unwilling to wait any longer, approached Aaron and asked him to make them a golden calf as a representative of the Lord who had led them out of Egypt.

Aaron agreed and melted down the golden jewelry which they brought to him in order to fashion the calf.

His decision to compromise almost cost him his own life and resulted in the death of 3,000 of his fellow Israelites.

As Christians many of us have worked for an employer or supervisor who was not a Christian.

Perhaps at some point you have been asked or will be asked to do something which you do not believe you should do as a Christian.

How do you respond in such a way that you uphold your convictions?
