Where Will You Spend Eternity?
Every single one of us alive today will one day die. (Cf. Hebrews 9:27)
Where do you want to go when you die? We each only have two choices: heaven or hell.
In our text today, Luke 16:19-31, Jesus tells of two men and their circumstances both here in this life and after their death.
Some have called this a parable, others a true story:
a. If it is a true story then the events described here actually took place.
b. If it is a parable, then it factually describes that which will take place following our death.
I choose to treat it as a parable because Jesus began His parable at the beginning of this chapter with similar words, “There was a rich man” (v. 1).
Planted within the facts of this parable are some valuable lessons for all men everywhere and especially for us here today.
Let’s look at what Jesus tells us.
