The Walls Came Tumblin’ Down
How many times have we either sung or heard the famous song about the Battle of Jericho? We sing about Joshua fighting the Battle of Jericho, the people marching around the walls for seven days, about them shouting and blowing their horns. But it always ends with the same line, " and the walls came tumblin' down".
There are some who look at these events and God's destruction of the city of Jericho and think that God is a cruel God with little or no compassion. I would argue that such is not the case, but that God had worked for forty years to bring the people of Canaan around to Him.
