The Godly Father
This morning our reading takes us back to a place known as Shechem, a very important place in the history of God’s people, Israel. All of this brings us to our Scripture reading this morning — Joshua 24:14-15.
As we look more closely at the words found here, let us do so, realizing that Joshua’s most important life achievement was not . . .
a. the conquest of the promised land.
b. that he was mentored by Moses, or
c. that he became Moses successor and led the people into the promised land.
Joshua’s most important life achievement was that he was a godly father.
