Prepare to Meet Your God
The book of Amos falls into the collection known as the Minor Prophets. The man Amos was neither a prophet, nor the son of a prophet initially, but a "herdsman [sheepherder] and a grower of sycamore figs" (7:4) to whom God said one day, "Go prophesy to My people Israel"(7:15).
It is important that we today, prepare to meet our God. We can do this by making sure; that we honor His truth (John 17:170), and renounce all sin in our our lives (1 Peter 1:15-16). Take note of what God is doing in your life. Draw near to Him in your heart. Are you prepared to meet God today in holiness and truth, or are you waiting to meet Him in judgement?
