Our Faith Is Based In History
The first preachers did not go throughout the world proclaiming some elaborate, artificial system of doctrines to difficult to understand.
Nor did they declare a religious philosophy based on the speculations and ideas of some great religious thinkers.
Instead, they told great plain facts about a world burdened with sin and the Son of God who came to earth, lived among us, died for us and then rose again.
We know this as the “Gospel” — it is far more simple than many make it now.
It is nothing more and nothing less than the history of Christ.
Today, we want to see it again through the eyes of a man named Luke, a physician, who was a close friend of the apostle Paul.
Through this beautiful Gospel, I hope that we may rediscover Jesus Christ.
