No Greater Love
The cross was the epitome of humiliation and shame. From God's perspective, however, the shame of the cross was the greatest moment of His displayed glory. In Jesus' crucifixion, we see God's splendor displayed in the perfect obedience of His Son's sacrifice. We see God's justice as His sinless Son bore the terrible penalty which His justice demanded for our sins. At the same time, God's love and grace shine forth as He offers eternal life to all those who will come to Him in obedient faith.
