It’s Still About the Gospel
There were those who sought to distract the believers in Thessalonica from the message by accusing Paul of preaching . . .
a. An erroneous or deceitful message.
b. To please others.
c. Out of a motive for greed.
Each time, Paul came back and addressed the charges, always focusing upon the message he was proclaiming — “the gospel of God.”
The last thing he wanted was for anything to get in the way of the message.
This morning, as we focus on what else he had to say, I would like for us to examine what he writes about the way in which he behaved toward the
believers and ask ourselves if we behave in a similar way.
Like Paul, the last thing any of us want to do is get in the way of the message of the gospel.
