During the week before His crucifixion, Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives with His disciples, looking at the Temple. In speaking of His return in judgment, He said, “But of that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. Take heed, keep on the alert; for you do not know when the appointed time will come” (Mark 13:23-33). Neither your nor I can move that hour nor avoid it. The question is, “Are we ready?”
