God Is Always Seeking
I am thankful that God is not like some people that you and I may know. There are some who are quick to judge others:
a. If you cross a boundary they have set, there is no coming back.
b. If you don’t measure up to their expectations, you are written off and excluded.
But the God you and I serve is not like this, and Jesus came to show us that. At the last supper, following Jesus’ statement to His disciples that,
"Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him. Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us." (John 14:6-8 NASB)
Jesus said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, 'Show us the Father'? (John 14:9)
But what Jesus showed His disciples and others concerning His Father was unlike what any had expected.
