For What Are We Known?
Have you ever thought to yourself when someone told you how you should respond to a specific situation in your life, “That’s easy for you to say,” knowing they haven’t walked in your shoes?
Paul did not write these words from a lounge on a beach or a cabin in the mountains, but from a Roman prison.
Many of the Christians in Philippi no doubt remembered what happened to Paul when he first came to their fair city to proclaim the Gospel:
a. He and Silas were beaten with rods.
b. They were then thrown into prison where their feet were fastened in stocks.
c. However, these two men were
