Father
More often than not we tend to view our heavenly Father through the same lens we have used to see our earthly father. If our earthly fathers have been godly men then we may develop a deep love and respect for our heavenly Father.
However, if our earthly father was an absentee father, or even worse an abusive father then our view of our heavenly Father is rather jaded. The truth is that neither of these examples, the good father nor the bad father, gives us an accurate picture of our heavenly Father.
The only way to truly know and understand our heavenly Father is to look at how He reveals Himself to us through His Word and His Son.
