Everything Else Is Sinking Sand
Ultimately, when all is said and done, what do you seek to gain out of this life?
Is it to go to heaven? To gain Christ?
If so, then know this going to heaven will not be based upon your ancestral heritage, your religious heritage or your accomplishments.
It will be based upon whether or not . . .
a. You truly know Christ.
b. You have experienced the power of our Lord’s resurrection in . . .
1) Your death to an old sinful life, burial with Christ in baptism and resurrection to a newness of life (Romans 6:4).
2) His continued work in your life on a daily basis (Ephesians 3:20-21).
c. You are willing to suffer for Christ and the gospel in your daily walk with Christ.
