The book of Judges is filled with sin, violence and the judgement of God. It is a book of action which probably appeals more to the men than it does to women. We learn that the "sons of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord and served the Baals." (Joshua 2:11). This statement is repeated throughout the book of Judges. During these dark days of Israel's history, when every man was doing what was right in his own sight, God used a woman.

In this lesson, I would like to look at one those times when Israel needed a deliverer and God used a woman, a Judge we know as Deborah.
