Cleansed and Made Whole
Throughout our Lord's ministry he often cast demons, but there was no such display as the account of the Gerasene demoniac. It has been dismissed by some as a psychological disorder; paranoia, manic-depression or schizophrenia. The writers have preserved this vivid account for us to verify that Jesus is God in human flesh, He is the Messiah, He is our Savior.
As such He wields absolute limitless power over the forces of darkness, over Satan and all his realm. The question for us this morning is "What will be our response to the one who has all power in Heaven and on Earth?" Will we ask Him to leave? Will we ask Him to let us go with Him?
