Just like the man away on a journey who assigned to each of his slaves a task, so God has given us work to do until He returns.

Instead of prying into the future, each of us needs to be busy with the work He has given us to do:

a. Sharing the gospel

b. Living faithfully

c. Diligently praying for one another

You and I are like men who know their master is coming, but who do not know when.

There is no reason for us to be fearful or hysterical about our Lord’s return.

We live in the shadow of eternity — all of life becomes a preparation to meet our King.

Every day we must see that our work is completed.

We must live so that it does not matter when He comes, we are ready to meet Him face to face.
