A Portrait of Fatherhood
Is 1 Thessalonians 2:7-12 a portrait of you as a father? One able to express genuine love, living a transparent life so that God is not hidden and the message of God's love for children is not hindered? One who displays an unselfish diligence, exhibiting genuine spirituality, and presenting a positive influence on his children? Children love to talk about their father, especially if he is a good father! Children love to reminisce about the good ole days, the memories they have of dad and the things which make him the best dad in the world.
Only Christians can reminisce of a father who is the perfect portrait of fatherhood. His genuine love being expressed in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
