Paul said that Jesus “knew no sin” (2 Corinthians 5:21), and Hebrews 4:15 tells us that “in every respect” he was “tempted as we are, yet without sin.”

What did they see in Him, how was he different from other children, other than the fact that His father was God?

I asked this question of some of our ladies who were here at the building over the past week. Here is what they shared:

a. Conscientious, Respectful, Obedient

b. Kindhearted, Empathetic, Helpful

c. Old soul (very mature for his age), very responsible, not cranky or petty

d. “Not a terrible two.” (No temper tantrums.)

e. Loving, caring, reached out to the children that others picked on or ignored.

f. Didn’t struggle with anxiety or worry.

Two other sources suggested that . . .

a. He was not one to boast or act arrogantly.

b. He was a child with a strong personality, self-reliant, one of exceptional insight and lucid intelligence.

If all this isn’t enough, consider that He doesn’t have your flaws, your insecurities or your idiosyncracies.

Would such a child intimidate you as a parent, or make you more confident?
