How would you sum up your mission, focus, purpose, and devotion in life? People will sometimes draft a motto for life. My motto in life has been for several years now, “Doing my best, for The Best!” Recently I was fortunate to hear a message from Eric Owens at Polishing the Pulpit. His message was titled More Than the Minimum: Your Mate Deserves Your Best.

In that outstanding lesson, Eric presented some things that have compelled me to reconsider my motto. Consider this thought in relation to God: More Than the Minimum: Your God Deserves Your Best. If you agree with that statement you are saying, your God is worthy/fit/has a claim to a greater degree than the least attainable or required. Your God has a claim to the most excellent, the highest degree, the most outstanding you…can…give.
