Of What Does Your Life Consist?
“so many thousands of people had gathered together that they were stepping on one another” (Luke 12:1).
It was under these circumstances that Jesus began teaching His disciples as the rest of the crowd listened:
a. He warned of hypocrisy, telling that God knew even that which we might do in the dark (vv. 2-3).
b. He told them of whom they were to be afraid and that they were not to worry about their lives because they were valuable to God (vv. 4-7).
c. He spoke of confessing Him before His Father and of the danger of blasphemy (vv. 8-10).
d. He told them not to worry about defending themselves before the rulers and authorities, assuring them that the Holy Spirit would teach them what they were to say (vv. 11-12).
It was at this point that He was suddenly interrupted by “someone in the crowd.”
