What You Least Expect
There is an interesting statement which has been utilized down through the centuries by different people.
That statement is “expect the unexpected.”
When it comes to our Lord, there is no truer statement.
a. Few if any expected the Son of God to enter the world as a baby.
b. The same can be said for the family in which He grew up.
c. The people with whom He chose to surround Himself.
d. The means by which He chose to save the world.
e. And the way in which He typically responded to certain questions.
In our reading today, Jesus responded to a question that was not expected by the one asking the question.
