Relighting Our Passion for Jesus

Preacher:
Passage: Philippians 3:12-15
Service Type:

In the book of Revelation, Jesus comments on the church in Ephesus by say, "I know your works, your labor, and your love." Revelation 2:2 Here is a working congregation that loved the Lord and that was laboring in His vineyard. Jesus then said to this congregation that would not put up with evil. The one that would not allow immorality and sin to be in their midst, and thus they stood firm on their stance for right and against wrong. This congregation that tested those who said that they were apostles, and found them to be wrong because they were false apostles. To this congregation that was Bible based and working, Jesus had to say, "Neverless I have this against you, that you have left your first love." Revelation 2:4

How sad it is that this working, Bible-minding congregation had lost its zeal and passion for God and for holy things. The same can happen to us if we are not careful.
