There is great power in a church whose members devote themselves to prayer. When we are alert to Satan’s schemes and pray for God to respond, we enter, through our prayers into the very throne room of God where we “may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).  One of the ways we say ‘thank you’ to God is through our prayers (Philippians 4:6).  Our prayers further the cause of the gospel in this community and throughout the world as we pray for God to open doors and help our teachers, preachers and missionaries to communicate His Word more clearly.  There is great power in a church which prays — let us be such a church.
