From such hymns it is easy to get the impression that Christians will spend eternity in a type of light, airy heaven somewhere off in space, far away from earth.

Are we to spend eternity somewhere off in such a place, wearing white robes, playing harps, singing songs, and flying around from cloud to cloud while doing so?
