Most if not all of us have heard the saying, “What goes around comes around.” In Numbers 32:23, Moses tells the men of the tribes of Gad and Reuben that if they do not go across the river to help the other tribes take possession of the Promised Land, “Be sure your sins will find you out.”  In Galatians 6:7, God tells the  Christians of Asia Minor, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.”

Sadly, for some of our choices there are natural consequences which will follow us to the grave. Fortunately, you and I have someone who will save us and take away the eternal consequences of our sins (1 Timothy 1:15-16).

“It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all. Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life.” (1 Timothy 1:15–16, NASB95)

His blood can truly cleanse us and take away the guilt of our sins (1 Peter 3:21).

“Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you, not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience — through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 3:21)

Even more, our God is able to keep us from further sin (Psalm 139:23-24).

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts; and see if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.” (Psalm 139:23–24, NASB95)

Why not start now sowing seed which will have an eternal reward? The harvest is out of this world!
