This week when you sit down with your family and friends to a “Thanksgiving Meal,” before enjoying the bounty before you, stop and thank “the Father of lights” for “every good and perfect gift” which He has bestowed upon you (James 1:17). Don’t stop there. Take the time, not just on Thanksgiving Day, but every day to thank God for the immeasurable gift of His “beloved Son,” for without Him your life would not be possible. There is no greater way to thank God for all that He has done and continues to do, than by responding to Him in obedient faith. Today, wouldn’t you like to know what it is like to have peace with God, and eternal life? Won’t you let Him adopt you into His family?
