For Christians, God is the foundation of our hope and Christ dwelling in us is our hope of eternal glory. Because of this, we expectantly await our final glorification and the eternal life which accompanies it. We look forward to that eternal abode of the righteous. It is especially that we hold fast to our hope until that last day because it is the one anchor which gives our souls stability in an unstable world. If we don’t have this life sustaining hope, we have nothing. Do you have an anchor that keeps your soul?
My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus’; blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
but wholly lean on Jesus’; name.
Refrain:
On Christ, the solid rock, I stand;
all other ground is sinking sand,
all other ground is sinking sand.
