How many of you are reading the Old Testament on a regular basis? The Old Testament Scriptures were written for our instruction. Through them we learn about God. He is holy, all powerful, all knowing and ever present. God isn’t as much concerned with the sacrifices like those of the Old Testament but with the manner in which we live our lives. Through faith, God’s servants will persevere. The goal of the Old Testament scriptures is to give us hope. The focus of our hope is the Lord Jesus Christ. It was worth it when Christ gave His life to save us from our sins. It is worth it!

There are things about the life hereafter which are mysterious, but others are perfectly clear. At the end  of our race, having kept the faith and fought the good fight, with the beginning of Heaven, the redeemed will see Jesus. It will not be a temporary sighting, but a blessed, continuing communion with the Lamb of God. We will be with Him in a place which has the most pleasant surroundings. All of this is not momentary, but eternal – it will last. It is worth it!
