The Redwood trees in California are some of the tallest and largest trees on earth. Some are so large at their base that it takes 40 grown adults linked together to reach around it. These trees are known to live for thousands of years and each year they keep getting bigger.
Most tall trees have roots extend deep into the soil to keep them stable, not so with the Redwood trees. Instead of going deep, the roots of the Redwood tree extend outward. When they come in contact with the roots of another Redwood tree, they wrap around each other multiple times to form a strong bond. Eventually every single Redwood tree is connected to the others in the forest through this bond. Through their roots they hold on to one another in the harshest of weather, and keep the family of trees standing tall and strong together. The roots of the older trees hold on to the roots of those just beginning to row helping them to become big and strong. This same principle is to be true in the church.
