How do we determine that we have everything we need and want in life? Paul writes that he has learned to be content in whatever circumstances he is in. He also writes that he presses on that he may lay hold of that which has been laid forth by Christ Jesus. In the material aspects of life he has learned to be satisfied with the earthly life. But in his spiritual life he wants to continue to grow. He wants more. Are you content with your earthly life but want more for your spiritual life? As the song we sing says, “I am satisfied with just a cottage below, a little silver and a little gold.” Are you satisfied with where you are spiritually?
