Our Lord’s resurrection is not about the clothing we might have chosen to wear in our congregation today, had it not been for this virus. It is not about special programs or events. It is not about eggs hidden for our children to find. It is about victory over death. “but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:57 (NASB))
Today, we should be singing the praises of our God for His abundant mercy and the victory He has granted to us through His Son, Jesus Christ. There is coming a day when our resurrected Lord will “descend from Heaven.” On that day, “the dead in Christ will rise first” and then those Christians who are alive “will be caught us together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). Together, we will rejoice in our new home with the Father, His Son and the Holy Spirit. Are you ready for that day to come?
